AWS Free Tier Sign-up process

Just learning AWS concepts without practicing and experiencing it has no value. If you really want to learn how to get things done you should practice AWS concepts.  You can use lighter versions of just about every service AWS offers for free within the first 12 months of your signing up. The idea behind the Free Tier is to enable you to experiment with AWS and get some experience using its services. Don’t worry: as long as you don’t fire up a resource, just having an account won’t cost you anything. Follow below steps to sign up and create Free Tier account.

Step 1: Sign-up console

 Go to https://aws.amazon.com  and click on Create an AWS Account,

or directly go to https://portal.aws.amazon.com/billing/signup :

When you click on “Create AWS Account” you will landed into below sign-up page. You need to enter emailId, password and AWS account name, and click Continue

After this you will be navigated to page to enter contact information, then you will be navigated to enter Payment Information, then you will be navigated to verify your phone number. After you verify your phone number you are prompted to select from three plans Basic Plan, Development Plan and Business Plan. Select Basic Plan, then click continue. Once you completed all the above steps and processes. You’ll get the confirmation page as below. Now your account will be processed for activation which should take few minutes. You will receive email when this is complete.

Step 2: Sign-in process

After you have created AWS account you can sign in to the AWS Management Console to start using the services. Go to

https://console.aws.amazon.com, Select Root User option, enter root user email address and click Next.

Enter Password and click Sign in

Now you will be landed to AWS console management page.

Step 3: Select Region

AWS offers services in multiple regions. This helps to reduce latency for an application. It is important to choose a specific region where customers are going to use your application.
